A Special Day For Shobdon, Pembridge And Kingsland

Today marks a significant day for the three parishes of Shobdon, Pembridge and Kingsland as the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust is launched.

With an enchanting rural landscape and great community spirit, there is a lot to be proud of in the area. The Trust aims strengthen and support the local community and touch the lives of people who live and work in the three parishes.

Every six months a pot of up to £25,000 will be available, making it possible for local people to plan and carry out projects that will directly benefit their community and enhance the environment.

The aim of the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust is to improve the quality of life in the three parishes – through environmental, biodiversity, healthy recreation for children and road safety projects.

Completion of a simple application form is all that is required; this can be obtained online at www.KingspanInsulationCommunityTrust.org.

John Garbutt, a Director of Kingspan Insulation and one of the trustees said “Having had its home on the airfield industrial estate between Pembridge and Shobdon since 1986, the Kingspan Insulation site is now the largest of its kind in the world.

“Having always been involved in making contributions to the local community, we wanted a way for it to be done on a more inclusive and regular footing and are absolutely delighted that the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust is now up and running as we feel that this is the best way to help our local community.”
