News and Projects that the Trust Has Funded

Bowled Over By Kingspan Insulation Community Trust

Luctonians Youth Cricket recently celebrated the purchase of a bowling machine as a result of funding from the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust. This new equipment will be available to all 60 youngsters aged 8-15 at the club to help improve their game.

The trust granted Luctonians Youth Cricket £3000 in total, £2000 for the bowling machine and the remaining £1000 for the two top coaches in the county to come to the club and pass on their skills.

Richard Withers, junior cricket coach said “We are thankful to the Community Trust, as a bowling machine is something that has been on the clubs wish list for years. It is an excellent piece of equipment which helps with the practice of certain strokes and without this grant we wouldn’t have been able to get it.

The grant has also given us the opportunity to have two level three coaches come to the club and prepare specific training plans for each of the four teams. This is invaluable and will not only help the players improve their skills but the coaches too.”
