Leominster Primary Are Proud In Purple

Leominster Primary School has bolstered their pupils’ confidence with smart new sportswear, with the help of a grant from the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust.

With Leominster Infant and Leominster Junior uniting to form one school, known as Leominster Primary School, the students were very keen to wear sports kits that identified them as such.

The Kingspan Insulation Community Trust awarded the school £3114 to help Leominster Primary supply their sports teams with new netball, rugby, football kits, and tracksuits for winter sports; all in the school’s bright purple with a bold logo designed by their pupils.

Mrs Jill Hurst, a class teacher from the school, commented:

“It’s wonderful to see the children in their sports kits whenever they represent Leominster Primary School. This has had a definite effect on their confidence when competing with other schools as they look so smart. It has also instilled a real sense of pride in themselves and their team. It’s a fantastic start to the sporting life of the new school.”

John Garbutt, Chairman of the Kingspan Insulation Community Trust, added:

“The Trust believes in supporting efforts to improve the health and fitness of young people through recreation as being active is fundamental to their general well-being, as well as teaching important skills such as team work and cooperation. It’s our great pleasure to provide funding to the school to ensure Leominster Primary’s pupils can enjoy their team sports with matching kits.”
